Aluminum alloy has a low melting point and good casting performance. Gravity castings and low-pressure casting products are widely used in automobiles, motorcycles, motors, communications, hardware tools and other fields; especially products with large wall thickness are used more. It can also better avoid secondary processing of casting in the pores. After T6 heat treatment, the air tightness can reach more than 50kg/cm2.
Gravity casting refers to the process of injecting liquid metal into the mold under the action of the earth's gravity, and also weighs the force casting. Generalized gravity casting including sand casting, metal casting, investment casting, lost foam casting, clay casting; narrow meaning of gravity casting mainly refers to metal casting.
